We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I am entering into my fourth year as a missionary at the University of South Carolina! I spent my first two years at Texas State University and am now serving at USC. The Lord has blessed me abundantly (John 10:10) in my time at each of these campuses and I am excited to see what he has in store in this next year.
Like many students, I struggled holding on to and growing in my faith at the beginning of college. I have always loved the Catholic Church, but I had never really pursued my own personal relationship with Jesus.
During the Advent season of my junior year, I encountered the person of Jesus through daily prayer with scripture and reflecting on Mary’s journey through Advent. Everyday Jesus revealed something new to me and transformed my heart in so many beautiful ways. He continues to draw me closer to Him and invites me daily into deeper relationship with Him.
When I found out about FOCUS I was beyond excited to know there were other people my age that are pursuing this same daily devotion to living out relationship with Christ. I experienced so much joy and love from each person I met through FOCUS and started to really understand how important having faith based community is for us. I want nothing more than to help lead other students to experiencing the deep joy that comes from living as a disciple of Jesus and allowing Him to love them fully through His Church and the people He places in their life.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
