Hello! Our family is serving as missionaries at Christ the King Parish in Tulsa, OK. This is Emily’s 9th year to serve as a missionary and my 8th. We are eager and blessed to serve the parishioners here at Christ the King, and to share the gospel with others the Lord leads us to in Tulsa!  I ask that you would join me in prayer that God may open the hearts of these men and women to himself, and that they receive all the graces he wishes to give them.

As we have both spent several years on campus walking with college students and building them up to bear fruit as disciples post-college, we’ve recently felt a call to serve beyond the college campus. FOCUS in the parish has been on our hearts since before we were married, and as we’ve started a family of our own, the tug has become stronger and stronger. The mission in the parish is the same as on-campus: share the gospel and walk with individuals (and families) as we all come to discover what it means to place Jesus at the center of our hearts and our relationships, and what it looks like to share Him with those around us. We as a family desire to walk with other families and learn together how to answer Christ’s invitation to follow Him – in our marriage, as parents, co-workers, parishioners, and most importantly, as children dependent always on the Lord. We are learning so much as we go! We are far from figuring it all out, but are privileged to be on this journey and eager to discover how this call to discipleship looks in this new season of life and mission. This is a very short version of our testimony and discernment, but we’d love to share more in person!

When we answered the call to join FOCUS, we made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help us through this mission. Being full-time missionaries allows us to be radically available to those we serve and share this journey with them. Jesus commands all of us to make disciples of all nations, so this mission belongs to all of us. I am so grateful for my mission partners who share this passion of reaching this world for Christ, and our work would not be possible without you.
