We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I will be returning to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire for my second year there, and the second year FOCUS has been present on this campus!
I was blessed to be born and raised in a Catholic home where we knew Jesus and were active in our Church. However, I quickly became lost in the lies and expectations of our culture. I never knew Jesus’ personal love for me and what awaited me if I accepted His invitation to be a fervent follower and allow Him to rule over my life and my being. In my first years of college, I came to crossroads, and I realized that true joy and a life worth living could only be found in devoting that life to our Lord and His will. I have been living in that joy and peace, in relationship with Jesus ever since.
Because of the ways I was transformed during my own college career, college students are a group of people that I feel so passionately about serving. The Lord called me to FOCUS, and I was confident this was the place I could best be used for the Kingdom. My experience in college began the way the many students do. I had bought into the typical college culture and lifestyle. My life was drastically and miraculously changed by Jesus’ love and mercy, and my heart aches for students who haven’t experienced that- what Jesus wants to give each one of them. I desperately want to help them know and accept it!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I am aware of the fact that I cannot do God s work as a missionary without support from wonderful people who choose to give of themselves to His mission as well. It is written in 1 Corinthians Chapter 12, “For as with the human body which is a unity although it has many parts — all the parts of the body, though many, still making up one single body — so it is with Christ . Your generosity is just as necessary, honorable and seen as that of those walking on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, let me know and I would be so pleased to schedule an appointment with you! I’d be honored to have you on my team!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
