This coming year, God has called me to serve at the University of Mary in the lovely city of Bismarck, North Dakota! At this campus, I will encounter some of the brightest Catholic minds in the country, and will be serving the next generation of young Catholic leaders. It is my hope that through FOCUS, I can help ignite a newfound love of God in the hearts of all the students I serve!

After having my faith weakened in high school, I found myself desperately searching for more purpose in my life. Through a chance encounter while praying the rosary on the street, I got connected with a FOCUS missionary at my university, UC Berkeley. Through this relationship and the example of other Catholic men, I was able to grow in my faith and in virtue throughout my undergraduate academic career. The missionaries I met through FOCUS, as well as other FOCUS resources, inspired me to begin taking up life giving habits such as attending mass every day, making a daily holy hour, and praying a full daily rosary.

Through FOCUS, my prayer and relationship with Christ rose to heights that I never could have imagined. What I did not not expect however, was that my own example and authentic friendship would inspire other young men to begin deepening their own prayer lives. After completing my graduate degree in materials science and engineering, I was moved by the Lord to commit to full time mission with FOCUS, and to spread the fire of the gospel to those college age men who are so in need of and thirsting for God. What is now my mission and desire is to share the faith and formation that was so generously shard with me, and to encourage my entire generation to practice and grow in their faith every day.
