We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
God has invited me to serve college students at the University of Virginia this year, Wahoo Wah! I am so grateful to be making my way back closer to home and to serve in this wonderful community. You’ll often find me blasting some praise and worship music, seeking the best coffee shops in Charlottesville, or meeting students on campus! Jesus has transformed my life and I’d love to share the story with you: His generosity and His plans are beyond our understanding and have been oh so beautiful!!
As a missionary, my goal is to know Christ Jesus and invite students I encounter into the fullness of Christ’s love and the freedom that comes alongside it. Jesus “came not to be served but to serve” and I hope to follow His perfect example this year in all ways and serve the students of UVA well.
I was beyond blessed by being raised in a Catholic household and school system that modeled for me this servant love of Christ and reminded me constantly of my identity as a beloved daughter of God. When I arrived on campus on my first day of college, 1500 miles from home, it was immediately apparent to me that our society lacks this knowledge. Most of the people I encountered did not know the Love that they had been made for and were looking for it in all kinds of ways that were hurting them. Thus, Christ’s mission immediately captivated me: to tell my friends how fully and deeply seen, known, and loved they are was easily the highlight of my college career. Joining staff with FOCUS followed naturally from my own captivation with Christ and the desire to share that freedom and joy with others.
I am overjoyed to enter this mission and invite the students of UVA into the fullness of life which Christ promises us! Hallelujah!
When I accepted the call to join FOCUS, I trusted in the Lord’s Providence and chose to rely fully on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to equip me and allow me to invest fully in this mission. I am so grateful for all of the generous people who are already journeying with me and supporting me on this mission. If you are interested in joining this mission with me, please let me know the best way to reach you I would love to set up a time to chat. It would be a gift to serve Christ’s mission alongside you!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
