We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“It is Jesus you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you.”
Pope Saint John Paul II
I am a second year missionary at Georgia Tech! Please keep the students at Georgia Tech, my team, and me in your prayers!
I have always had a great desire in my heart to love and be loved. Coming into college, I wanted so badly to be accepted by my new friends, but everything that they were doing seemed directly against what I knew in my heart to be right. I took a major step back from my Catholic faith to pursue the worldly lifestyle that I believed would fulfill me.
Halfway through my sophomore year, I knew something was missing. I started trying to think of anyone I had met who seemed like they were fully alive. I immediately thought of Amanda, a FOCUS missionary who constantly invited me to hang out, to come to Bible study, and to join her for Mass. She was more joyful than anyone else I had met in college. I wanted the joy that she had, so I decided to give Bible study another chance.
In this small “yes” to the Lord, and with each “yes” that followed, Jesus invited me deeper and deeper into His love. I reached a point where I realized I couldn’t live halfway committed to Jesus anymore – He could either be the most important part of my life or not in my life at all. I thought about the peace, joy, and love that I’d experienced through daily prayer and the sacraments. I knew that He had to become the center of my entire life.
Jesus has transformed my life. He fulfilled that desire that I’ve always carried in my heart to love and be loved. It is the greatest privilege to be able to show other college women that He wants to do the same for them. At Georgia Tech, I will invite other women into walking with Christ, and truly into the adventure of a lifetime.
When I accepted the call to FOCUS, I made the commitment to fully rely on the Lord to provide for my mission – both spiritually and financially! My mission partners are the ones that give me the freedom to serve the students of Georgia Tech with my entire self. I truly could not do this work without their generosity, and each one of them is on mission with me spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to college students. If you want to hear more about my story, my mission, and about FOCUS, please let me know the best way to reach you and we can schedule a time to talk!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
