The Lord has brought me out of my home of New Jersey to serve at the Auraria Campus of Denver, Colorado as a missionary for the students there; being a friend to whoever God chooses and guiding them to meet the best friend they can have Jesus Christ.

Many can tell you how it impacted their lives to have FOCUS missionaries with them on their campus. I however, didn’t. I have a different story. Many of my friends stopped being around after high school. Yet I was very optimistic to make new brothers in college. Being a commuter to a small campus that also had a low population of other male students made that very hard. I sought out clubs I was interested in, yet they stopped existing. I found myself making “school friends” that I knew wouldn’t mean much once classes were over. Soon in this Catholic university, I was the only student praying in the chapel; or shall I say venting my heart out to God. I felt so alone and depression sunk in. I soon gave up on making those real brothers. Then during one winter break I decided to give up everything to God. I honestly didn’t know what I was doing. I just felt the closeness of Holy Spirit and began to cry out how all I truly wanted was to belong to God, and in that moment I was cured of many things and saved. God soon led me to missionary friends and communities in other schools and now I know I can be that brother to the other guys on campuses who also find themselves in tough spots. The rest of the story is currently being told by God as we speak 🙂

The battle for today’s youth is very real and your support means you’ve accepted God’s call to be apart of winning this battle. College students are starving for meaning in life, actual true friendship, and a path for tomorrow to be better than today. The sad truth is many and I mean many aren’t getting these things. With your support they can, and I can be the one sent out for this mission you support.
