This is my 4th year at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, and my 5th year overall with FOCUS (and hopefully many more)!

I grew up in a loving and practicing Christian family, but did not take my faith very seriously until high school. After attending a summer camp called Laity Lodge Youth Camp a few times, I finally desired and started living out a relationship with Christ. By becoming involved in Young Life at Round Rock High School, I found a community in which I started to deeply pursue my faith and share it with others. Through my involvement with YL, I became friends with my YL leader, Camron, who, through his patience, strong faith, and intellectual prowess, eventually guided me to convert to Catholicism when I went off to college at Texas State University, serving as my confirmation sponsor in May of 2018.

Since then, after a short time serving as a college Young Life leader to high schoolers, I decided to dive into the FOCUS community at Texas State, where I attended SEEK 2019 and SLS 2020, joined discipleship, and started leading a Bible study. After having been greatly impacted by Peter Manfre, a student leader who eventually became a FOCUS missionary, I was inspired to become a missionary as well.

I have served as a missionary at my alma mater during the Fall of 2020 (my last semester of school), at the University of Southern Mississippi the following semester, and have served at Belmont University since the Fall of 2021. Providentially, I almost went to Belmont when I was deciding where to go to college, and here’s picture proof from when I toured in 2016!

In my time as a missionary, I have only grown in my conviction of the need to share the Gospel and how to live it out in its fullness in the Catholic Church. The college campus is a key place to reach people when they are at one of the greatest crossroads of their lives, and if they so choose to become a disciple of Christ, not only will the trajectory of their eternal salvation be changed, but that of their future families (or congregations or religious communities), parishes, communities, countries, and the world. My heart has been firmly planted in Nashville at Belmont, as I have such a love for the culture of music, beauty, and lightheartedness on campus, and so I hope to serve here for many years to come!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
