Hey! My name’s Colin. I’m a FOCUS missionary.

Where I serve

After spending seven years on campus as a campus missionary, God has called me to serve with FOCUS as a Philanthropy Engagement Officer!

As a member of the Philanthropy Engagement Team, I have the privilege of interacting with FOCUS benefactors on a daily basis and sharing the good news of the Gospel. Through my many years of directly serving on a college campus, I grew in appreciation and awe of the generosity of those who have made the mission of FOCUS possible, either by supporting a missionary or by supporting FOCUS on the national level. I have been inspired to continue serving the mission of FOCUS by honoring these benefactors and by engaging them deeper into the mission.

My Story

As a missionary of Jesus Christ, my greatest desire is to lead souls to Him. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel.

When I studied at Virginia Tech, I was introduced to the FOCUS missionaries through our campus ministry. One missionary in particular sacrificed his time, money, and comfort to meet me where I was at, drawing me out of the pit of my despair and into the ocean of God’s mercy. What a gift and a witness this was to Our Lord and the way He lived. How could I not do the same for others?

Eight years later, I have transitioned from campus missionary to Philanthropy Engagement Officer, assisting the mission on the campuses and in the parishes where FOCUS is present. Throughout all this change, the goal has remained the same for myself and FOCUS: to know Christ Jesus and to fulfill His Great Commission.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely solely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I served on campus and enter this new role.

Through the generous prayerful and financial contributions of my mission partners, I have seen many souls turn their lives over to Christ; something that would not have been possible with spiritual and financial barriers in the way.
