Where I serve

I currently serve as the team director at Idaho State University.

My Story

Growing up, Cooper had no interest in or understanding of God, and when he started college at Colorado State University, he considered himself to be atheist. But Jesus had other plans for him. He used close friends to first begin softening Cooper’s heart to realize that he was missing something. Then after the sudden loss of his younger brother, Jesus showed him that what was missing from his life was Him all along. He began to help slowly put the pieces back together after Cooper’s family s loss. Jesus found him at a time when he was lost and broken, and he has Jesus to thank for the love and joy that his life is filled with now. Several years later, he was even more on fire with Christ’s love than ever, which led Him to answering Jesus’ call to serve His Church through working as a missionary for FOCUS.

Emily’s Catholic faith has always been important to her, but it wasn’t until college that she formed a life-changing, personal relationship with Jesus. As an undergraduate student at Colorado State University, Emily had the opportunity to pursue her faith alongside a wonderful community of people who continually encouraged her to grow. Even though she had plans to attend graduate school after college, Emily felt God calling her to work with FOCUS- and is so glad He did! Now she is taking classes at Idaho State while working part time with FOCUS. She’s delighted to share the joy, peace, and adventure of life with Jesus because nothing is more important in life!

It s an honor to get to serve other students by helping them encounter Jesus the same way we did in college, and we never cease to be amazed at the transformation that can take place. Please pray for us and all the students at Idaho State University!
