I am serving my second year at Iowa State University (Roll Clones)! You can normally find me doing anything sports related, grabbing coffee, or just having conversations and sharing life with others.

When I arrived on campus as a freshman at the University of Illinois I was eager for the next four years of my life. Like many others, my self worth was wrapped up in so many things that were external (grades, friends, etc) and I didn’t know that my true identity was as a beloved son of God. While my faith was important to me I believed that it wouldn’t truly make me happy me so I had to look elsewhere for fulfillment. Early on there was a missionary and a few men who I became friends with that showed me what life could be like if I decided to prioritize having a relationship with Jesus. Learning the reality of the Gospel started a transformation that has changed everything. Over the next four years I started to learn more about who God is and who I am. I’m so blessed that I now have the opportunity to walk with men in their faith as a FOCUS missionary. Investing and walking alongside them has been the blessing of a lifetime.

The decision to serve mission with FOCUS comes with the knowledge that I will have to rely on The Lord and others for spiritual and financial support. I’m blessed to have incredible people partnering with me to help the mission of spreading the Gospel to others on campus.
