God has called us to serve college students at Kennesaw State University! You’ll typically find us hanging out at the Catholic Student Center or playing sports on campus. We both have a pretty cool story about how Jesus changed our lives and we’d love to share it with you!

Devin:

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Jesus through Christ-centered, authentic relationships. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level and encountered us in our brokenness and desired to redeem us so greatly that He suffered and died for us. Jesus also spent most of His public ministry investing deeply in a few. And these few continued to invest in others after Jesus left and through this little way of evangelization have changed the course of history by proclaiming the saving grace of Jesus. I desire to encounter students on campus just as Jesus encountered His disciples and to invest in them so that they may know the love and joy of life with Christ. I am deeply encouraged and excited by the souls that I have encountered and continue to desire to build more relationships.

Catherine:

When I first came to college, I had no idea what FOCUS was nor the ways in which God would radically change my life through FOCUS missionaries, bible study, and authentic discipleship. In my time as a student at the University of Florida, I was not only able to grow in fellowship with the students at Catholic Gators, but also in a deeper relationship with the Lord. It was in bible study that I learned how to read the living Word and hear/understand the voice of God. Through intentional discipleship, I was shown how to root out sin, fully be present in the sacraments, and give myself completely to the Lord. I was supported and poured into in a way I had never been before, allowing me to pour back out to those around me as a bible study leader and discipler.

God used FOCUS to change my life and I am overjoyed to continue this mission of bringing college students back to Him and His kingdom as a full-time missionary; Talk about full circle!
