Dorian and Sarah Arellano

It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted –Saint John Paul II

Where We serve

Dorian is blessed to have been able to spend 5 years on campus at The University of Oklahoma, Stephen F Austin State University and Southern Methodist University! After being on campus, Dorian served as a Regional Director for the South Area at the Denver Support Center for four years. Sarah spent three amazing years serving at Georgia Southern University before moving to Denver. Now, Dorian serves on the Lifelong Mission Team, helping to implement the FOCUS model in parishes across the world! Sarah is serving as the Senior Manager of FOCUS Greek. She loves supporting the 200+ missionaries that serve Greek students on campus. We love continuing the mission of the Church through FOCUS!

Our Story

Dorian: God spent the first half of my years in college pursuing my heart. As has been the case for much of my life, He led and I followed, sometimes without even knowing it. Through the sacraments, prayer, scripture and the community at the University of Texas, He shepherded me through temptation and the influence of anti-Catholic and anti-Christian teachings and peers. My junior year and onward, I felt an urge to share my reinforced faith with those around me. Coincidentally, I encountered FOCUS this same year and once I felt the call on my heart to join the ranks of the best missionary organization in America (besides the Church, of course), I never looked back!

Sarah: With parents who were converts to the Faith, I was raised with an incredible zeal for the Faith, getting to experience the Universal Church in many different places around the world. My dad instilled in me an apologetic fervor, and in high school at a Catholic summer camp, I experienced Jesus Christ as one who knows and loves me so intimately. Going to college, I could not wait to share the faith with others, and help build up the Catholic Newman Ministry on campus. It wasn’t until I encountered my first FOCUS Missionary, Megan, however, that I began to understand the vision and importance of spiritual multiplication–that our faith is not our own, and MUST be taught and shared with others. It was there, in college, that I encountered the Sacraments regularly, not out of duty, but out of a thirst for Christ, and an answer to His thirst for me. To live the Faith is not always easy, but it sure makes for the adventure of a lifetime!!

Your Impact

As a full-time missionary family, we have the privilege of placing full trust in God by fundraising our entire salaries. This is the beauty of the faith – Jesus does not want us to rely on ourselves, He wants us to rely on Him for everything! In order to radically invest in our missionaries’ and therefore students lives, we cannot fulfill this call to mission alone. We need your help! By generously joining this mission, you will be accompanying us in fulfilling the great commission, winning souls for Christ, and giving hope to this world! If you are interested in partnering with us, please let us know of the best way to reach you. We would be honored to share this mission with you!
