Where I serve
My team at Seton Hall
God has called me to serve the students of Seton Hall University in New Jersey. At the home of the Pirates, I will be serving as a member of Varsity Catholic, walking with students and student/athletes in their faith journey to know Christ Jesus through prayer, sacraments, and authentic friendships to live virtue freely.
My Story
Authentic friendship. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Mt. 28:19). This is how I was ministered to and touched by Christ. Even when I was not present to God, He was present to me. Our Lord saw a desire deep in my heart for Him and He guided me into loving relationships who emulated the life and love that Jesus shared with his disciples. One beautiful authentic friendship can go a long way to show someone they are truly loved. God blessed me with countless examples of this during my time at Mount St. Mary’s University. This lead to my eventual conversion, baptism and confirmation in my junior year of college.
I received my masters degree in sport management from Mount St. Mary’s after completing my undergrad majoring in sport management with a minor in business. Without the love and care of the FOCUS missionaries on campus at the Mount, I never would have been pushed to pursue a life of discipline, virtue, and holiness. Without FOCUS, I never would have had the courage to invest in other friends the authentic love that changed my own life.
Your Impact
The world needs Jesus Christ and His Church now more than ever. In my time as a missionary, I’ve been “urged on by love of Christ to proclaim the Good News everywhere in the world” (CCC 3). I’ve enjoyed having Bible studies even if it is virtual, being formed with all the missionaries and students, and taking hours and hours to pray and simply lift thousands of intentions to God.
I hope to truly and fully give my life to God and to others.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission.
