After serving for a year and a half at the University of Illinois at Chicago, I now work at the Denver Support Center for the Retreats team! It is an honor to be able to help equip our campus and parish missionaries to facilitate life-changing encounters with Christ for their students!

The summer before starting college, I reached out to the campus pastor at the university I was attending to see what kind of worship opportunities they had for Catholics on campus. I was directed to the president of the Catholic Student Organization and got involved, and they became a second family to me. And from CSO, I got involved with the Newman Center at Ohio State University where my second family multiplied in size! From freshman year til graduation, I was involved at Newman in ministry and liturgy. My junior year, FOCUS came to OSU! I was thrilled! I reached out immediately to the missionaries and got involved with them and their ministry. Every year, I came to know Christ in a deeper, more intimate way until it all came to a head with me realizing I don’t ever want to live my life without Him and that I couldn’t imagine not having Him be the center of my life!  And after being disillusioned with the idea of grad school or a full-time office job immediately after graduating, I decided to apply to FOCUS, and thanks be to God, I received an offer and joyfully accepted it! And now I’m here one year later, and I have no regrets!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. Too many students face loneliness during their time in college, and even more forget how loved they are by God and His Church. My amazing mission partners are the reason why I’m able to serve and love freely!
