We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I am still in awe that the Lord has called a small-town-Kentucky-girl like me to be His missionary in Minnesota! I am currently in my seventh year of serving with FOCUS. This is my first year serving as Program Director for the North Area and I love getting to serve the regional directors, missionaries and students on our 38 campuses, while still serving locally in Winona, MN where I previously served as a campus missionary and team director.
Moving away to college and living away from my close-knit, Catholic family for the first time presented many challenges for me. I no longer had to share everything with my triplet brothers, I no longer had my mom and dad with me to make sure I went to Mass each week, and I no longer had my small town community to support me. During this initial time of leaving the nest, I struggled to find a place to belong. With so many options before me, I chose to cling to my roots and began to seek out the Catholic community on campus. It was within this community that I found my home and began to take my faith more seriously.
We were blessed to receive a team of FOCUS missionaries on our campus my sophomore year and our Catholic community began to grow. It was through working with these missionaries who deeply invested in me and spending time with other Catholic college students that I encountered Jesus more intimately. This newly uncovered relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church ignited great zeal in my heart to lead others into the same relationship. Through prayer and serving others, I realized that God was calling me to follow Him in a deeper way by leading others to encounter Him, in the same way I did during my time in college.
He said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men. At once they left their nets and followed him. Matthew 4:19-20
My life was given direction in college through the friendship of FOCUS missionaries and other student leaders, and I pray for strength as Christ leads me in the mission as well. Your prayers and support will help make this mission possible so that other college students will encounter Jesus during this critical time in their lives as they are searching for truth. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
