God has called me to serve college student athletes at the University of Kansas! As a Varsity Catholic missionary with FOCUS, I mentor student athletes within their demanding schedules, teaching them to glorify God in their sport and in their daily lives. Through genuine friendship, prayer and sharing God s message of hope and mercy, Varsity Catholic missionaries aim to raise up disciples of Jesus who are equipped to make disciples of others.

Throughout my college experience, FOCUS missionaries on my campus fought for my soul as I swayed between seeking happiness in Christ and in what the world offers college students. Through Bible studies, weekly Discipleship meetings, retreats, and fellowship my heart was awakened to what it was made for — A relationship with God. In the men that walked with me, I saw who I wanted to become. In them, I saw Christ dwelling within and loving me.

My life has been transformed by Jesus Christ and I want nothing more than to share this joy to others and invite them into the life-changing message of the Gospel. On earth Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I want to meet students where they are in their story and walk with them towards heroic and abundant life with God. I’m constantly amazed and inspired by the men I encounter on campus.

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I know that as God has called me, He has also called an amazing group of mission partners to come with me on mission! I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
