We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I serve at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Pony Up. I’ll serve there for the next year or more, God willing!
I’ve been Catholic my whole life, and Jesus has revealed Himself to me in many ways over the years. One of the most significant has been through my brothers in Christ, as iron sharpens iron. It’s been through the deep and consistent friendships with Catholic men that the character of Christ has been impressed upon me, and has inspired me to go and do the same for others.
I didn’t want to just maintain my faith in college, I wanted to share it, but I didn’t know how. FOCUS found me, and invited me into Bible studies, discipleship, and deep friendships. I started my own Bible Study my sophomore year, and I’ve come to look at that study as some of the most meaningful work I’ve ever done. Against my practical idea of what a successful college graduate looked like, I felt called to let go of becoming an engineer (at least for the foreseeable future), to finish what I had started with FOCUS.
One of the men in that bible study I led recently told me that when I met him he didn’t know what the Eucharist was. Another has told me that he didn’t really know if he believed that God existed before he was invited to encounter Him more deeply. Both of these men became critical leaders in the Catholic community at MTU. Now at SMU, I have had the privilege to sponsor two students into full communion with the Faith, including my new Godson. These are just a few of the fruits that God has born in my life through FOCUS so far.
He’s not done yet. I know the Lord still has great plans for me and my ministry. But I can’t go alone.
Because of the radical need for full-time missionaries on college campuses, I have chosen to rely on the spiritual and financial help of others so that I can be free to devote my full effort to this mission. By supporting me, you can ensure that college students like myself are encountered and invited into life-long mission, raising up the next generation of leaders in the Church. So many people can be reached by the deep conversion of one soul. Will you help me reach him?
If you are interested in supporting me, please reach out and I will set up an appointment with you. I would be honored to share the Mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
