Hi! My name is Giselle Bernabe and I’m from Greenwood, South Carolina! I am now a fourth year serving my first year as a Team Director at the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley! I look forward to working with my wonderful team and seeing what the Lord has in store for me. ¡Go Vaqueros!

¡Hola! Me llamo Giselle Bernabe y soy de Greenwood, SC. ¡Actualmente estoy en mi cuarto año con FOCUS y mi primer año como Directora de Equipo en la Universidad de Texas – Rio Grande Valley! Espero con ilusión trabajar con mi maravilloso equipo y ver qué tiene el Señor preparado para mí. ¡Vamos, Vaqueros!

My Story

During my time in college, I often felt that something was missing from my life. I turned to different things and nothing was bringing me the satisfaction that I needed. It wasn’t until I decided to start pursuing my faith with the help of my Catholic center and FOCUS missionaries on campus. I soon discovered the infinite love of Jesus that was awaiting me with open arms and how he wanted to transform my heart. I found that as the beloved daughter of God, I am made for a relationship with Him. More people need to know this, especially in the broken world of college. That is why I have decided to answer His call, of sharing with students on campus, the infinite love of Jesus Christ and His plan for eternal life with Him in Heaven.

Durante mi tiempo en la universidad, a menudo sentía que faltaba algo en mi vida. Me dirigí a cosas diferentes y nada me estaba dando la satisfacción que necesitaba. No fue hasta que decidí comenzar a buscar mi fe con la ayuda de mi centro católico y los misioneros de FOCUS en el campus. Pronto descubrí el amor infinito de Jesús que me esperaba con los brazos abiertos y cómo quería transformar mi corazón. Descubrí que, como hija amada de Dios, estoy hecha para una relación con Él. Más personas necesitan saber esto, especialmente en el mundo de la universidad. Por eso he decidido responder a Su llamado, de compartir con los estudiantes del campus, el amor infinito de Jesucristo y Su plan de vida eterna con Él en el Cielo.
