We currently serve at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri! Tommy leads as our Team Director, and Halle serves as a second-year missionary. Our son, Peter, gets to come with us to campus each day and is his own little witness to the love of Christ! 

We were both raised in strong and faithful households. When we went off to college, we grew deeply in our faith and our personal relationship with Jesus. In a world that can feel very lonely for most students, we found a great sense of community through bible studies, discipleship, and friendship with others at our local Newman Centers. We were taught the importance of a personal relationship with God and authentic friendships with those around us. As we began to recognize the deep need for prayer, we committed to attend daily mass and pray more frequently. Eventually, we discovered just how beautiful it can be to live your life for Christ!

In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us where we are, take on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. We hope to follow Jesus example to reach the world through friendship, formation and the sacraments the same way we were invested in. Jesus wants to have a personal and intimate relationship with each of us and we hope to help lead others to Him!

When we answered the call to join FOCUS, we made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help us through this mission. We’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with us as we serve on campus.
