We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
God has called me to serve college students at Idaho State University, GO BENGALS! I’m very excited to be entering my 3rd year on mission, my first at ISU!
I was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia the second of four kids (See the family photo below!) As a kid, my family went to church every Sunday as well as going to some events at church during the week. Although, as the years went on, my family s involvement in our parish slowly diminished.
Going into college, I knew that I wanted to reignite my church-going habits, but I was not expecting the transformation that occurred. During my time at Northern Arizona University, I was invested in deeply by other students and the FOCUS missionaries there. Slowly but surely, I grew to know the goodness of God. I developed a daily prayer life, lead a bible study for 3 years, and began to assist others in starting their own relationship with God. I was growing more and more into what God desires for all of us to be, missionary disciples.
With this molding of my identity, I found an ever-growing desire to serve as a missionary through FOCUS. I realized this great desire to help students in their path to holiness, just as I was helped by missionaries as an undergraduate. To put it simply, I know that there is no better manner or time in a person s life to introduce them to having a relationship with Jesus. College is a pivotal time of life when teens are now thrown into living life independently. It is at this junction that students now have a completely free choice as to whether they want to go to church or not. One thing that I have learned from my own story is that this choice can radically change a person’s life, and I hope to help others know what life is like with God at the center.
As a mission partner, you are vital to the success of this ministry. Without your support, so many lost, young souls will continue to be astray on the college campus. By supporting me, YOU will be reaching these students. YOU will be providing the means by which these students will encounter the goodness that the Lord has brought into this world. It is said, “Some give by going, and some go by giving.” If this is a mission you believe to be as important as I do, please reach out to me, so I can tell you even more about it!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
