We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I currently serve at the University Of Nebraska – Lincoln where the Lord has called me to invite students into a deeper relationship with Christ as I finish my BS in Education and Human Science. I am excited to get to serve the students of UNL as I am finishing my degree alongside my amazing team.
I grew up as a cradle Catholic attending mass and youth group on Sunday, and CCD on Wednesday nights. When I was old enough to start driving and had more control, I started to let my faith life slip through the cracks. First began skipping mass, and then youth group, and then the faith wasn’t part of my life. I went off to college to play golf at Doane University and struggled a lot the first year of college feeling lost, and not cared about lacking something deep in my heart. Going into my sophomore year of college an old friend of mine invited me to hangout with him at UNL. I noticed that he had something that I didn’t have at Doane. I transferred to UNL that next semester, joined Phi Kappa Theta, and got involved at the Newman Center. I got to know an awesome man in Phi Kap who pushed me to do a summer formation program through FOCUS called Summer Projects. At Summer Projects, I was surrounded by people who were striving to have a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus 24/7. It was then that I knew what my heart longed for and what I was missing. After summer projects, I went back to UNL and got more involved with FOCUS. Through my time in FOCUS, missionaries impacted my life and helped me grow in that relationship that I desired. If I didn’t transfer and get involved with FOCUS, I don’t know where my life would be right now. That is why I became a FOCUS missionary, to help students who felt like I did when I was at Doane and to let them know that there is a merciful God who loves them and wants them to run to Him.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
