I joined FOCUS because Christ is transforming my life daily in small ways and big ways. Along that journey FOCUS has played a pivotal role in developing my relationship with Christ to allow him to transform my life. As a college student I had the ability for the first time in my life to decide what my faith truly meant to me. FOCUS helped shape me into a passionately Catholic young man. This scenario is not entirely unique. All college students see themselves at a crossroads in regards to who they are going to be as individuals not just as members of a family. This is the crux of why FOCUS missionaries are on campus rather than somewhere else, because college is where habits of life are formed.

FOCUS in particular engaged me both on a spiritual level and a human level. While I was a student my missionaries did not simply teach, but were also my friends. This approach is what allows FOCUS to continue to be so effective. Because by simply loving people and putting them at the foot of the cross Christ will work on their hearts. However in this world and time we see the culture of the world pulling college students away to a life of complacency where they do not know their savior. The time to begin to turn against the culture is now before any one more single soul is lost.

As a mission partner you truly will change students lives yourself. Mission partners allow those of us on campus to be able to invest our entire beings into engaging students and winning them for Christ. Your support allows us to truly be not just teachers but friends of the students. I truly believe that this is where mission and conversion of heart happens.

All mission work that I do is an extension of your mission work. This humbling reality allows me to remain in Christ so that I am best able to serve Christ and represent you, ultimately pointing souls to Christ. Mission partners are the faithful of today that give life to my half of the mission through your prayers!
