We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hello beautiful people! My name is Jack Rabanal and I’m a FOCUS missionary!
“So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.” (1 Thes 2:8)
I’m a second-year missionary, running it back at the University of Oregon! I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue to walk alongside college students. Please pray for me and my team. SKO DUCKS!
I’m blessed to be born and raised in a loving and faithful Catholic family. Despite this upbringing, I still found myself falling for Satan’s lies and rooting my identity in the fleeting pleasures of this world. My life would soon be transformed once I went to college at San Diego State University and stumbled upon a very vibrant Newman Center community there. From there, I truly encountered Jesus by growing in a life of prayer, virtuous friendships, the sacraments, and the Church teachings. I’ve experienced true freedom and joy in life like never before in rooting my identity as a beloved son of God. In a time where most young people tend to fall away from the Catholic Faith, I was only further grounded in it. As I continue to grow in my relationship with the Lord, I desire to share this Christ-like life with others.
As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus’s own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the prayerful and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you’re interested in partnering with me on this mission, please let me know the best way to reach out to you, and I’ll gladly schedule an appointment. It would be an honor to share this mission with you! My phone number is 717-210-8316 and my email is [email protected]. Now, let’s go out and save the world!
