We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“What really matters in life is that we are loved by Christ and that we love Him in return. In comparison to the love of Jesus, everything else is secondary. And, without the love of Jesus, everything is useless.”
Pope St. John Paul II
God has called me to serve at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse! I am super excited to meet the students here at UWL and to see what the Lord has in store for this year!
I was born and raised Catholic, in a family that always encouraged me in the faith. In a lot of ways however, I was really only going through the motions of being Catholic. I did not have an intimate and personal relationship with Christ.
I went to school at Michigan Tech where I studied physical therapy. Early on during my time in college, I was welcomed into the community at our campus ministry center. The people there quickly became my closest friends, and began to really challenge me in my faith. I was invited into a FOCUS Bible study, FOCUS discipleship, was encouraged to attend daily mass, and to make daily prayer a priority. Eventually, I found myself leading men in Bible studies and discipleship myself. Through all of this, I was learning the truth about my identity, a beloved son of God.
Stemming from this relationship and identity in Christ, the Holy Spirit has filled me with a desire to share the love of Christ with others. The college campus is a place where so many people lose their faith, and this is an absolute tragedy. When I felt God calling me to be a FOCUS missionary, he placed a great desire in my heart to go out and encounter these students right where they are at. I trust that in some way He will use me as His instrument to show students that they are indeed beloved sons and daughters of the Father.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing team of people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share the joy of this mission with you. If you have any questions about my mission, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected]
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
