We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Lord, we give You permission to use us in any way You desire today, and we ask You to give us the grace to see Your hand in action, so we can give You all the glory. Amen.
We are so blessed to serve at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! We are so excited to see what the Lord has in store for us and this campus.
In my Freshman year of college a FOCUS missionary invited me to lunch and during our lunch he asked me about my prayer life. This question went on to change my life forever, as he invited me to stop by the chapel at the Newman Center everyday to sit with Jesus and listen for His voice in prayer. Over time, the Lord was changing my heart and desires and filling me with a joy and peace that I had never experienced before. As I continued to meet with this FOCUS missionary weekly, I would ask him questions and I learned more and more about how Jesus longs to be in relationship with us. The more time I spent with the Lord in prayer, the more my desire was for everyone I encounter to know Jesus and to be with Him for eternity. When Brenda came to SDSU, she started coming to the Newman Center and it continued to spark the unexplainable draw to the Church she always had. Over the years the Lord has been guiding her and leading her to His love, even when she didn’t know it. Brenda got involved in a FOCUS bible study and started meeting with a FOCUS missionary weekly. It didn’t take long for Brenda to be Baptized and come into the Church.
We have seen firsthand the impact FOCUS missionaries are making on campus, and we are so grateful that the Lord has called us to be missionaries on campus as our desire is that all will come to know Christ and will be with Him for eternity.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
