Hey y’all! My name is John and I am an Events Specialist on the SEEK Team!

Where I serve

After four joy-filled years as a missionary on campus (one year at MIT, two years at NYU, and one year at Columbia), the Lord has called me to serve Him and His Church on the FOCUS Conference Team! As I enter my fifth year, I am so excited to continue on mission through planning and preparing for SEEK, ensuring that all 20,000+ of our attendees across multiple locations are able to have a deep and personal encounter with Christ. Coming from life as a campus missionary, I know firsthand the profound impact that SEEK has had on the lives of my former students and I am so eager to be a part of the team that makes this possible for all of our campuses and parishes.

My Story

As a freshman at the University of Dallas in 2018, I was first introduced to FOCUS when I went to a conference hosted by FOCUS in Chicago. Since my campus didn’t have missionaries at the time, I went by myself, but I still remember how my experience at that conference encouraged me to start living mission on campus. When missionaries were sent to my campus my senior year, their joy and zeal inspired me to become a FOCUS missionary myself and join them in fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission: to go and make disciples of all nations!

In my time as a Campus Missionary, I had the opportunity to make disciples of Christ at three different campuses on the East Coast. Every year on campus, SEEK was such a pivotal moment for the students I walked with. Now on the Events Team, I have the chance to help all of our on-campus missionaries (plus Parish and Alumni Missionaries) facilitate an encounter with Christ for tens of thousands of others! Praise God!

When I answered God’s call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help FOCUS send me on mission. I’ve been blessed to have some of the most amazing, generous people join me on this mission through their financial and spiritual support.
