We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
The Lord has called me to serve college students in NYC at New York University. I am excited to have this opportunity to live mission in the heart of Lower Manhattan. Most days you’ll find me on campus leading Bible study at the Catholic Center, grabbing coffee in Greenwich Village, or exploring New York City with students and my teammates.
Here is a photo of my team and I on placement day this year! From left to right is Cristina, Kaler (our team director), Noah, and myself.
I grew up in a small town in southeast Texas, where I was very involved in diocesan and parish youth ministry, but it wasn’t until I went to a Catholic school for college that I began to understand how our faith necessitates both a desire for learning about Christ and his Church as well as a longing to know him personally. When FOCUS missionaries came to my campus during my senior year, through their friendship and example, they opened my heart to the Lord that He may be able to work through me so that I may fulfill His Great Commission: to go and make disciples of all nations!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed to have some of the most amazing, generous people join me on this mission through their financial and spiritual support. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know what the best way to reach you is and I will schedule an appointment to talk with you. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
