We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I am a FOCUS Missionary.
“Man, who is the only creature on earth which God willed for itself, cannot fully find himself except through a sincere gift of himself”
Gaudium Et Spes 24
I serve the mission of FOCUS as a Quantitative Analyst at our office in Denver, Colorado. My work helps FOCUS’s evangelization of the college campus in assessing the quality of ongoing campus programs. After three years of serving the students on the college campus, I have become deeply convicted of the need to bring Christ to the campus. I continue to serve on staff because of this conviction to know Christ and to make Him known, and I am excited to see the continuation of my participation in this mission.
In 2013, I came to college uncertain of who I was or who I wanted to be. Over the years, I would switch between being a person who hid from the world to seek comfort or a person who sought to find himself in the world. I had a deep desire to feel like a unified person.
In coming to meet students through my campus’s Newman Center and returning to the Sacrament of Confession, Christ was revealed as someone who longed to be known by me. The remaining two years of college became a journey with Christ toward greater freedom, reception of His love for me, and experiencing the joy of the Christian life.
So with this wonderful gift of faith that I’d been given through the Church, my choice became “What can I do to give back?” My desire is to give back in the same area I received: the college campus
After three years of serving as a campus missionary within FOCUS, I have grown in my gratitude for the Gospel message of Christ’s saving work on the Cross. To work in my position as part of the FOCUS office, I get to still serve as a “missionary to the missionaries”, and I am so eager to see where Christ will take FOCUS this year.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
