We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
God has called me to serve college students at Northern Illinois University. Go Huskies! You’ll typically find me drinking coffee at the local coffeehouse, hanging out at the Newman Center, or talking to people around campus. The Lord has been pursuing me forever and I’m so blessed to have said yes to his call to live as his beloved daughter and a lifelong missionary! Come find me and I’d love to share with you how God changed my life 🙂
When I started college, I wasn t really sure where my faith life was going. I had other priorities and big dreams for my own success as a filmmaker, or maybe even as a standup comedian 😉 but I just wasn t satisfied. It wasn t until I started attending a FOCUS Bible study that my mom asked me to go to (thank you, Mom), that I saw what was missing from my life- relationship. As I kept coming back to the study week after week, I began building friendships with great holy women. These women showed me how to live as a daughter of God. I began praying daily and receiving the Sacraments more often. Eventually, I started leading a Bible study of my own and, through the grace of God, discovered the joy of living as daughter and mother. I loved walking with other women and challenging them to make Christ the center of their lives. I loved baking treats for Bible study and praying for other students as they took difficult exams or had tough conversations with their boyfriends. I still love doing all these things and am so grateful I get to continue living mission in this way. In college and now as a full-time missionary, I am called to learn how to love in a new and profound way.
This is what I want for everyone, and especially for the women at NIU. I want them to learn how much God loves them and how to love others in the same way. I want them to be in relationship with the God of the Universe and for this relationship to pour out into everything they do. Simply, I want them to love and to be loved.
John 17:20-26
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
