We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Howdy! My name is Justin and I’m a first-year missionary at the University of Illinois!
I’ll be serving as a missionary at the University of Illinois in Champaign! It’s certainly a change from Michigan Tech (where I graduated), but I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store for me this year.
I grew up in the faith and was quite involved in my home parish’s high school youth ministry, but I didn’t really know Jesus. After attending SLS (now SEEK) my freshman year at Michigan Tech, the Lord placed a conviction in my heart to start a daily prayer life. This led me to encounter the Lord in a very real and authentic way, unlike how I had felt with “retreat highs”.
I got involved with FOCUS as a student missionary shortly after, but didn’t start leading a Bible study until my junior year. From there, everything skyrocketed… I began to understand the mission and what Christ wanted for my life. He desired me to help others encounter Him just as I had encountered Him my freshman year.
I was incredibly blessed as a student missionary to help people encounter Christ in a deeper way. I knew I wanted to continue this work and that the Lord was calling me to become a full-time missionary as the next step. I’m excited for full-time mission and for devoting my life to bringing others to know Jesus!
I would love to talk to you about joining me on mission. The work that I’ll be doing is not possible without generous supporters like you! I’ll be investing heavily in the students on campus, but I also want to develop a deep relationship with all of my supporters. Please shoot me a text or email if you would be interested in joining me on mission!
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
