I am so excited to be serving at the University of Oklahoma starting this Fall! Boomer Sooner!!

Starting my freshman year at the University of Arkansas (woo pig sooie!), I only had the intention of going to mass on Sundays while having “college fun” every other day of the week. I slowly became involved in a women’s bible study at the Newman Center but still found myself searching for companionship and happiness in the wrong places. After FOCUS expanded to the University of Arkansas my junior year, I quickly became friends with the team. Ellie, my missionary, began deeply investing in who I was and the life I was living as a student. Through weekly bible study and discipleship, Ellie helped me to grow closer to Christ in a personal, intimate relationship and detach from the unfulfilling life I was living. I began encountering the Lord in prayer and the sacraments and finally discovered the true peace, love, and happiness I had been searching for throughout college. The rest of my time as a student, I continued building a strong Catholic faith and I found a passion for walking with students in their faith journey. Having the missionaries at Arkansas invest in me and challenge me to continually grow deeper in my relationship with Christ lead me to desire to do the same for others. 

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have chosen to journey with me as I serve on campus.
