We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I serve as a Program Director, assisting the Recruitment & Expansion initiative within the Lifelong Mission Team. Our team is working to reach individuals and families in parishes and in their communities to bring them to Christ. My role is to assist the leaders in recruiting missionaries to serve in the parish setting, as well as, expanding to new parishes.
After facing the transition that college demands, I had a deep desire to grow in my relationship with Christ and found that I could do so by deepening my relationships with faith-filled friends who were looking toward the same goal. I was introduced to FOCUS during my time at South Dakota State University through a good friend of mine which jumpstarted my zeal for the faith. FOCUS’ mission of growing in the faith with the people around you is something that transformed and renewed my way of walking the faith. Instead of it becoming something that I did on my own and for myself, following Christ became a gift of myself and something I couldn’t imagine walking alone. It was through encountering the joy and faithfulness of others at Pope Pius XII Newman Center in Brookings, SD that encouraged me to view Him in a new light. He is a Person who wants to be in relationship with me, and so I want to bring this truth to those I encounter and show them that they are made for relationship with Him, too.
Shortly after college, I met my now husband, Alex, who I found that I can journey alongside in the faith and has been a window into the reality of the need for relationship – with others and with God.
I served at Western Washington University (2021-2022) and the University of South Dakota (2022-2023) as a campus missionary. I experienced a lot of growth in walking with college students over those two years, and if anything, it taught me of my own poverty and need for Christ.
Throughout my college years and my time as a campus missionary, I have felt a steady call from the Lord to serve families in some capacity. In response to this call, I am excited to be continuing in my role as a Program Director serving the Lifelong Mission Team (pictured below).
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus and as I transition into this new role as a Program Director. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you!
