I will be serving at Grand Valley State University!  My team from left to right is Drew, Emma, me, and Lance.

I’ve wanted to be a missionary for a long time…and I can trace it back to the first place I encountered God during my freshman year of high school.  My youth minister invited NET missionaries to put on a retreat during winter break that year, and when I met them, I remember thinking, why are they so happy?  During that retreat, I prayed the whole rosary for the first time (very poorly) and experienced peace in my soul for the first time.  Since then, I stumbled through high school always chasing these experiences with God, never knowing if I would be able to attain the joy and peace I saw in the missionaries I’d met my freshman year.  Once I got to college, I met FOCUS Missionaries who had the same glow and peaceful countenance.  It felt like home to me.  They walked me through many habits I needed to change throughout college, allowing me to fail and loving me through it.  My life has forever been changed by people who made the brave decision to step out of the normal flow of life society presents, and I am honored to be following this path with my own life.
