The Lord has called me to serve at the University of California, Irvine in Irvine, CA- go anteaters! I am overjoyed at the opportunity to serve the students of UCI and share the love of Christ with them!

Going into college, I had little to no faith and God seemed more like a fairytale than a loving Father to me. I found myself searching for purpose and a deeper meaning for my life, putting my worth in worldly consolations. While the world provided me happiness, it was fleeting and always left me feeling more empty and alone. I was at the lowest point in my life.

All of that changed, though, when I met some wonderful people at St. Paul’s Newman Center at NDSU. They radiated a true joy and love that I had never experienced before and they wanted to be my friends and share that with me! Through their invitations, I started going to Mass and other events at the Newman Center and eventually began to feel Christ’s love for me and His desire for my heart. One of the amazing friends the Lord blessed me with was a FOCUS missionary on campus who walked with me throughout my conversion to the Faith. She was always there to support me, guide me, show me Christ’s love, and affirm me in my identity as beloved daughter of the Lord. Through her friendship, I was able to encounter Christ in a whole new way and eventually make the decision to become Catholic!

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus.
