I grew up in Graz, Austria. After graduating from high school, I moved to Vienna, where I studied Portuguese and International Relations.

During my time in Vienna, I was introduced to the FOCUS missionaries and became good friends with a missionary from the USA. Growing up in a Catholic home, I believed in God, but without a deep and personal conviction and practiced faith only lukewarm and half-hearted. This changed in a steady but gentle process that brought me closer to a living relationship with Jesus Christ. The missionaries provided a community of students walking the talk and yet met me where I am at. They did not only encourage and teach but simply shared life with me. Through the mentorship of my missionary, I was able to grow in so many areas of my life.

The way that FOCUS brings faith to students is fruitful and works, which is one of the reasons why I decided to become missionary myself. Now I am grateful to pass on the faith I have been given to help students grow in this crucial phase of their lives. I do this so that they can find courage, hope, joy and beauty and be beacons for Christ.
