We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!”
-Luke 12:49
God has called me to serve college students at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan! I’m so excited to meet the students this fall and to begin walking with them in their journey towards Christ and the Truth.
My story begins in college when, after coming from a Catholic home and high school, I had to make the decision to make the faith a priority in my life. I was eventually convinced to join a Bible Study and this was a pivotal moment in my faith journey. Through this Bible Study, I was introduced to the importance of daily prayer and Christian community. At IU, I continued to grow in my faith and had opportunities to encounter Christ through becoming a leader in community, going on retreats, and to conferences put on by FOCUS.
It was at one of theses conferences (SEEK ’22) that I heard the Father’s call to be open to His will and consider becoming a FOCUS missionary. Up until this point, I was set on becoming a teacher in France, but after hearing this call to apply and give Him a chance, I knew that it would be wrong not to. So I applied and I am so happy that I did! I have had so much peace with this decision and am excited to begin my journey as a missionary which has already been full of so many adventures!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
