I am serving my third year as a full-time missionary on campus at Kennesaw State University. My teammates and I will be the first FOCUS missionaries physically on campus at Kennesaw State. I spent my first two years as a missionary serving at Oklahoma State University. Before I worked full-time for FOCUS, I worked part-time as a missionary at Indiana University.
I’ve wanted to be a missionary ever since I was Sophomore in college. I met one of the Indiana University missionaries and fell in love with what they did. The missionaries were trying to imitate Christ, while bringing other students with them. And I was all in. It was a matter of time before I began to reorient my life so that I could be like the missionaries who were, themselves, trying to be like Christ. Within the next few years, I started leading a bible study and leading a discipleship group. I loved every moment of it and was fully convicted to become a missionary myself to share the Gospel with students full time.
I grew up in Bloomington, Indiana (Go Hoosiers), and went to college at Indiana University. I graduated in May 2020 with a degree in Leadership & Nonprofit Management. In high school, I started playing golf and running competitively. In college, I raced as an amateur cyclist, but my original love is for running. I also loved helping out with Awakening retreats, I have a soft spot for them! Outside of athletics, I have a love for the outdoors. I enjoy doing practically anything outside. I spent the past two years teaching my disciples how to fish and how to build fires. We even built an outdoor fireplace ourselves! One of my favorite past times in Oklahoma was driving down dirt roads in my trusty Subaru listening to music and having good conversations with my passengers. Moving to Georgia, I hope to do a lot more hiking and activities with the community in the nearby mountains!
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
