Bismarck, ND – Lexie: I serve on the Mission Development Events Team where I help serve our campus missionaries through organizing events for our benefactors, helping them come into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
Luke: I serve on the Philanthropy Engagement team where I engage benefactors and show them how their kindness towards FOCUS is saving this next generation of sons and daughters on college campuses.
Lexie’s story: Because of the virtue of parents and grandparents, I have reaped the kindness and generosity of many supporters that have altered the eternal direction my soul is headed to. While in college at NDSU I met a FOCUS missionary who had joy and confidence in who she was. I wanted what she had and in growing in authentic friendship with her I learned it was a relationship with the person of Jesus Christ.
Luke’s story: In 2017 your care and generosity helped me meet a FOCUS missionary, also named Luke. His friendship changed my life and introduced me to the person of Jesus Christ and His Church. I began to experience true joy in my life, and all I wanted to do was share my faith with others. It s a privilege to meet so many people, from all walks of life, and to ask the burning questions we re all wondering: What s my purpose? Who am I? What s my identity? What happens after we die? Is there a point to this life? And to bring sons and daughters back into the loving embrace of God our Father.
When we answered the call to join FOCUS, we made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of people like you. Your generosity and faithfulness are changing the eternal destination of our next generation. Men and women in college are making decisions that will impact the course of their life:What career do I want to pursue? What kind of person do I want to be? What kind of friends do I want to have? Who do I want to marry? And without someone to walk with and accompany them, our culture will guide them on a path towards isolation and emptiness. Our future husbands, fathers, wives, mothers are out there on college campuses – someone has to go help them. Thank you so much for your gift and your continued loyalty to supporting us in this mission!
