We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hey there! My name’s Lina and I’m a FOCUS missionary at Benedictine College 🙂
I am so blessed that the Lord has called me to serve college students in Atchison, Kansas. On a given day I’ll be in a tree on campus, playing a harmonica or train whistle like nobody’s business, or jumping into a body of water. I’m super hyped up to live life to the full with the students at Benedictine in every way God calls me to pray and play.
I never knew the deep, personal love of Jesus until I met my best friend and FOCUS missionaries during my freshman year of college.
Through their joyful witness and care for not only my joy on Earth but forever in Heaven, my desire to know Jesus was sparked and will never be extinguished. Jesus led me to surrender my desires to live the typical college lifestyle and ask for His will to be done in my life. From this point, Jesus gave me everything:Â new eyes, a bigger heart, and a longing for Him to be the center of my life.
I’ve come to realize that being faithful to Jesus isn’t a burden, but in His words, fulfills what He wants of every one of us, that we “may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). Knowing and loving Jesus and a joyful life go hand-in-hand. I’m so grateful to FOCUS for teaching me how to share this abundant life with others and desire nothing other than leading others to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
I am so blessed to serve students on campus at Benedictine and with this, I’ve made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners so I can live out this mission. It would be an honor to share this abundant life of service with you.
If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to reach you. I’d love to schedule an appointment with you, share the mission, and hear your story too!
Thank you for taking the time to read this all,
and a note to Benedictine students: be ready to play this year.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
