Hi! My name’s Lindsay. I’m a FOCUS Missionary.

Where I serve

I am currently serving in my tenth year with FOCUS as a Senior Program Director for Parish Outreach. I served my first year with FOCUS as an on campus missionary at the University of Pittsburgh and deeply treasure the time I had on campus. I then served as a Program Director on the East Area team for seven years, as a missionary to our missionaries and am continuing to do so for our Parish missionaries. I also assist on major projects alongside our leadership team to support our efforts at our current locations and in expansion.

My Story

I encountered Christ during my time as a student at George Mason University. I grew up in a loving, Catholic family, but I never understood that God desired a personal relationship with me. During my freshman year of college I was in search of happiness and fulfillment, but looked in all the wrong places and fell deep into a life of sin. It was the love shown to me by the FOCUS missionaries and student leaders that inspired me to attend the FOCUS Conference in Baltimore in 2011. All semester I had been searching for truth and by divine providence the Holy Spirit led me there. It was in Adoration where I heard Jesus speak to me for the first time, invite me to surrender everything to Him, and promise me the true joy I was searching for. Since that moment, The Lord has been good to His promise and my life has never been more fulfilling! Through my conversion and inspiration from the FOCUS missionaries, I came to find that my life’s purpose is to become a saint by abiding in the heart of our Heavenly Father and share the Gospel with others. I am blessed to continue in this mission with FOCUS and the journey of God’s plan for me and my husband, Joey!

Your Impact

As a FOCUS Missionary I am called to live radically for Christ by dedicating myself full-time to this mission. In doing so, I rely solely on the spiritual and financial support of others through prayers and monthly donations. The work of FOCUS is not possible without the generosity of our Mission Partners. Saint Mother Teresa said, “Some give by going, others go by giving.” It has been an honor to serve alongside my mission partners, and it is because of their sacrifice, generosity, and faithfulness that God’s mission is possible.
