“A story is a way to say something that can’t be said any other way, and it takes every word in the story to say what the meaning is.” -Flannery O’Connor

I always loved to tell stories through music and writing. Whether it was through childhood games, art songs, or writing for an internship later in college, I sought opportunities to express myself. It took me a long time to realize that my identity itself is rooted in a story – one that supersedes time and gives ultimate meaning to my life.

That story is the Gospel. Watching others suffer around me and questioning the meaning of life my senior year of high school brought me face to face with a real question: Jesus was either a liar, a lunatic, or who he said he was – the Son of God. I came to encounter Him as a Person in the Eucharist and His mercy in Confession. In doing so, I realized in my mind and heart that He truly is God – and that I am made to give and receive His love.

After graduating with degrees in music and journalism at the University of Maryland, I became a full-time missionary with FOCUS to serve the students at University of Virginia for two years and then at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for two years.

Afterwards, I got to serve in the Beauty Initiative, in which we are exploring new means of evangelization through authentic beauty. Through study, collaborative projects and creative apprenticeship, we aim to craft a community that inspires artists to take their unique place in the Church and inspire all to live a beautiful life, which is to be a saint.

Now I’m blessed to get to serve our donors and staff as a Donor Relations Specialist for the Donor Relations and Gift Operations team here at the Denver Support Center. We receive all calls to the main line to assist donors with their gifts and do behind the scenes work to ensure every donation can be processed and sent to the missionaries to receive their paycheck, and ultimately, be able to carry out their mission on campus.

It would be an honor to serve on this mission together! Please consider giving financially and supporting prayerfully to the mission.

Thank you so much, and God bless you!

Where I serve

God has called me to serve college students. You’ll typically find me hanging out at the university cafe, the Newman Center, or high-fiving people around campus. I have a pretty cool story about how Jesus has changed my life — I think you should hear it sometime! Come find me and I’d love to share it with you. 🙂

My Story

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. My life has been transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus.

Your Impact

When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I’ve been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
