We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Christ has blessed me this Fall semester by allowing me to serve at my alma mater, Southeast Missouri State University! I love sharing life and the Gospel with those God has entrusted me with!
So, I grew up in a Catholic household, but I didn’t really learn how to live in a relationship with Christ. Because of this, I quickly lost interest in my faith and quickly began putting all of my effort into my friendships and my hobbies.
This worked well for me until I entered college. I was one of the only people in my friend group to go to my college. I quickly felt abandoned. I quit spending time with others and quickly became a recluse. This lasted for most of my first semester of college. Providentially, a good friend of mine had invited me to a Tuesday Mass. Long story short, I said “yes” and my life was completely changed. Those at my Newman center (including some incredible FOCUS missionaries) gave me the greatest introduction to Jesus Christ! Through their amazing witness to God and their amazing kindness to me, I was able to come to know God!
Through FOCUS, I hope to lead others to a greater knowledge and greater love of Jesus Christ and to grow closer to Him myself!
Being a FOCUS missionary gives me an amazing chance to serve God on one of the most crucial spiritual battlegrounds, the college campus. Blessed with your support, I am able to live out the Gospel with those who desperately need to hear the goodness of God. Thank you for all of your prayers and support!

We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
