We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hello! My name is Lucas and I am a FOCUS missionary!
You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you: Only to do justice and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God. -Micah 6:8
This year, I am serving at Emporia State University in Kansas. I am stoked to have the opportunity to be able to walk with the men in Emporia and to share the joy of the Gospel! You can find me on campus talking with students or taking advantage of the many disc golf courses seeing as I am living in the disc golf capital of the United States.
I grew up Catholic, but it was never a large part of my life. It was just something we did as a family. Then, on a retreat during the summer before my freshman year of college, I was introduced to the concept of having a personal relationship with God, and from that retreat I was forever changed. I knew I wanted a personal relationship with God, but I did not exactly know where to start. Upon entering college, I found out where to start. I joined a bible study led by one of the student leaders involved with FOCUS on my campus and never looked back. He introduced to FOCUS, and I was able to interact with various student leaders and FOCUS missionaries during my time in college. During my senior year, I decided that I wanted to be able to provide those positive experiences that I had with FOCUS to other college students. Consequently, I became a FOCUS missionary, and by the grace of God, I will be able to provide those positive experiences to the students that I will encounter on campus.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I have been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I would be honored to share this mission with you.
Please let me know if you have any prayer intentions! I would love to pray for you. Thank you so much for your time!

By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
