After serving for two years as a missionary at the United States Naval Academy, I am now serving as a Team Director at Central Connecticut State University! I couldn’t be more excited for this new adventure. Please pray for our students at CCSU!
Like so many college students, I struggled at my university to find the peace and freedom for which I was made. Chastity, sobriety and excellence were not virtues easily maintained and I did not emerge, from my college years, unscathed by “the culture of distraction.”
Thanks be to God, for the FOCUS missionaries on my campus…
Upon meeting FOCUS missionaries, my university experience went from “average” to “great.” The friendships I formed with them transformed my time at university into a saga of growth: weeding out sin, deepening my prayer life and investing in authentic friendships with other striving Catholics.
It was a missionary who presented me with the clear choice to center my life around Christ, and I have never regretted my “Yes.”
This “Yes” (though accompanied by necessary suffering) led to a newfound freedom I now get to enthusiastically share with other college students, this time, as the FOCUS missionary in someone else’s story.
My dear mission partners,
I realize that not everyone is called to serve on college campuses, but your hard earned gifts are a significant and necessary piece of my mission with FOCUS.
This mission is not possible without an alliance with friends like you who are willing to spiritually and financially support this good work. For this reason, I am deeply appreciative of your loving and generous support.
Thank you for your crucial part in the salvation of souls on college campuses all over.
“Some give, by going to the missions. Some go by giving to the missions. Without both, there is no mission.
-St. Mother Teresa
Future co-missionaries and mission partners, I would happily schedule an appointment with you to share more about your part in this good mission!
