Jesus has called me to serve his people at the University of Toledo! GO ROCKETS! I am a fifth year missionary now serving as the Team Director at the University of Toledo in Ohio!

Before Toledo, I served at DePauw University for two years and at the Denver Support Center for the FOCUS Marketing team for two years. I love where God continues to call me each day and it is such a wonderful adventure. Jesus is changing so many lives and hearts and it is such a gift to partake in.

I grew up in the faith, but never fully understood what it meant to be a practicing Catholic. My junior year at Bowling Green State University was when I first encountered FOCUS after some really challenging life events. I was able to understand how beloved I was by our Lord at a retreat and that set the course of the rest of my life. I dove right in and wanted everything there was to do with being Catholic. I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities God had given me the rest of my time in college.

Not long after was when I felt God tugging on my heart to give my whole life to having a zeal for the souls on the college campus, a soul just like mine that was longing for Jesus. I really desired other students to experience the same reversion that I did in my heart and before I knew it, I applied to be a FOCUS missionary to fulfill that deep longing in my heart.

As a missionary, my greatest desire is to lead as many people as I can to Christ, especially the lost souls of students on campus. My life has been completely and beautifully transformed by Jesus and I want nothing more than to bring this joy to others and introduce them to the life-changing message of the Gospel through intentional and loving relationships. In His ministry on earth, Jesus humbled Himself to meet us on our level, taking on our humanity, and spent most of His time investing deeply in a few. I look to Jesus own example to find the best method of reaching the world. I’ve been constantly amazed by the different souls I’ve encountered on campus and I how I had the opportunity to serve them on social media as well.

So much can be accomplished with the technology we have today. Unfortunately, social media has had a negative impact on our society leading people to search for happiness in places they won’t be able to find it like pornography and just consuming only what the world has to offer. There needs to be a change in our culture for people to consume what Jesus has to offer, not the world. I can’t wait to impact and influence the culture at the University of Toledo through Jesus!

I truly believe that God provides for us when we let him and abandon our lives to His will. Being with FOCUS for 5 years now has taught me about that dependence on Him. I have several people who financially and spiritually support me on this mission for Christ and I would love to invite you into this mission as well.
