We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age.”
I’ll be serving as a Greek missionary at the University of Alabama. Roll tide!
Before coming to college, I went through the motions of my faith. I knew I desired a relationship with God, but pursuing that desire never felt urgent. It seemed like something I could handle later.
After the COVID-19 Pandemic hit my senior year of high school, I had a lot of time to think. My youth minister told me: “If you do not grow in your faith now, you have no excuse.” She was right. We had nothing but time to spend with God.
The transition to Tulane University was rough, not only because of the pandemic. I found myself in a culture that sought pleasure and found emptiness. I took refuge in Tulane Catholic and the homes of my FOCUS missionaries, and I came to know God intimately.
Attending Tulane provided me with clarity. I saw the stark contrast between life with God and life pretending He does not exist. It was not a decision that could wait. Jesus wanted me to follow him right there right then.
He wants us to follow Him NOW.
Most college students do not receive this clarity, but there is a difference between life with Jesus and a life apart from Him.
How many men and women on college campuses continue choosing destruction and apathy because they do not know there is something more?
By joining me on this mission, you could make Heaven crowded. Your contribution makes it possible for students to know the fullness of life Jesus offers them and CHOOSE that for themselves.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
