We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hi! I’m Marco and I’m a FOCUS Missionary at the University of Massachusetts Amherst!
I’ll be serving college students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst! Founded in 1863, I hope to reach its 31,000 students with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
My story consists of many twists and turns. It is truly an adventure with Christ! In 2020, I had fallen into an aimlessness of life. In my last year of high school, my theology teacher challenged me to spend 30 minutes in the chapel for 30 days. Since then, my life has never been the same. In the chapel, I had experienced something I never had before. It was a sense of immense peace. This was followed by a profound conviction of God’s love for me.
After this experience, my spiritual life snowballed. I was first led to Benedictine college where I experienced many beautiful friendships. I soon realized I had a strong desire to have everyone know the immense joy and peace that I myself felt. This led me to discern diocesan priesthood at Saint John Paul II Seminary. After 3 years of seminary, I grew deeper in my conviction of God’s love and soon discerned that God was calling me to share my joy and peace in a different way. This led me to become a FOCUS missionary!
My strongest desire is to introduce people who have fallen into an aimlessness of life, as I once had, to Jesus who is the cause of all true joy.
When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of others who join me as mission partners. I’ve been blessed to encounter so many college students that desire to live life more abundantly. If you would like to join me on this mission, please contact me at 301-803-0151 or [email protected]. I’d be honored to share this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
