God has called me to serve at the Denver Support Center, which is where the ‘behind the scenes’ work happens to send missionaries onto campuses and parishes. I am serving as an Events Specialist, planning opportunities for FOCUS students, staff, and parishioners to encounter Christ. 

As I was entering college in 2016 trying to figure out what school to attend, I was determined to stay close to my hometown in Wisconsin. Five hours driving distance – that’s the farthest I’d consider. But before I knew it, I had committed to the University of Dallas and was on that sixteen hour road trip down to Texas. 

This has been the story of my life: choosing to go down one path, until God sends me the complete opposite way! You never know what great things He has planned for you and I have learned time and time again, the importance of trust and openness. At UD, I found the most wonderful community of humans! The friends I made here helped me take charge of my faith. Each day, I am shown through their example how to live more virtuously. I am constantly challenged and encouraged to keep God at the center of my life and to keep growing into a deeper relationship with Him. I thank God every day that Dallas was part of His plan. 

Now He has called me to FOCUS! Although I never anticipated leaving Texas, I have never felt more called towards something. I am excited and honored that I get to play a part in this mission. My hope is that every college student has the opportunity to find that same God-centered community that I was so blessed to have been given. It is through genuine friendship that God’s love is spread.
