Where I serve

I will be serving at Northern Michigan University in the UP until I graduate in December. Then, I will be placed at another campus!

My Story

I grew up going to church every Sunday with my family and growing up Catholic, I thought I knew who Jesus was. I had ended up creating a false image of Him though – I thought He was a God who was loving and good, but only when I was perfect. This belief tainted my view of the Lord, myself, and the world. Because of this, I began to root my identity in things of this world – my grades, who my friends were, my hobbies.

I came to know who Jesus actually was during my sophomore year of college. One day while I was praying in Adoration, I was asking the Lord many questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What is my purpose? Jesus sat down with me and told me how He had been pursuing me over the course of my entire life, and He told me who I truly was, a beloved daughter of God, that He loves me perfectly and unconditionally and He has a plan for my life. The joy and love that I felt from the Lord truly transformed my life. For many years before, I had been running from the Lord. I ended up running straight into His arms, and now I am running with Him!

The Lord has called me to serve as a missionary with FOCUS and now I get to do what I love and what has changed my life – share the Gospel with college students, introduce them to Jesus Christ, tell them how they too are beloved sons and daughters of God, and how the Lord loves them perfectly and unconditionally!

Your Impact

Everyone is called to mission in one way or another – one of my favorite phrases that I’ve heard regarding this mission work is “Some give by going, some go by giving.” When I answered the call to serve as a missionary with FOCUS, I also made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to support me through my mission. By supporting me, you will also be leading people to Jesus Christ through me.
