We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
Hello and welcome! My name is Mary, and I’m a FOCUS Missionary!
“Those who share in the sufferings of Christ preserve in their own sufferings a very special particle of the infinite treasure of the world’s Redemption, and can share this treasure with others” – St. John Paul II
Jesus has called me to serve at the University of Wisconsin-Madison! Go Badgers! It is a complete joy to serve the students here at Wisconsin as we grow together in Divine Intimacy with our first and true Love.
While I grew up Catholic, it was not until I went to college that I discovered the beauty of a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus. I encountered a FOCUS missionary my freshman year through bible study, and I will never forget the day when she told us all that God is in love with us- this struck my heart like nothing else.
As I continued my time in college I also found myself confronted face-to-face with the realities of suffering. It was in this suffering that Jesus beckoned me deeper into His Most Sacred Heart, bursting my own heart with a Joy like no other. For while we all suffer, no one suffers alone, and no suffering is meaningless. This is the beauty of Redemptive Suffering. For our burdens truly are light, and our yoke is truly easy, when united with our Lord and Savior (Matt. 11:28-30).
Jesus has placed a deep desire on my heart to walk with the suffering, especially those on a college campus, and it is the greatest joy to be God’s little missionary and share the same Truth told to me: “God is deeply and madly in love with you”.
When I responded to God’s call to be a FOCUS missionary, I also said yes to be completely reliant on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners. It is such a joy and blessing to be so radically available to love and share the Gospel with university students, and this would not be possible without the generous support of others. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know the best way to get in contact with you, and I would love to set up an appointment with you. I would be so honored to have you on my team and to share the joy of this mission with you.
We encounter God in an intimate relationship through daily prayer, the sacraments and the Scriptures.
By building genuine friendships, we meet students on a deeper level.
We teach students how to share the gospel, who in turn teach other students how to pass it on.
